Your Pharmacist is an integral part of your health care team, who collaborates with your prescribers to resolve any problems you may have with your medications. At Medicap Pharmacy, our pharmacists won’t just put pills in a bottle but will take time to make sure the medications are helping you achieve your health care goals.
Because we care about your health—we are offering an enhanced level of care. You should expect your Pharmacist to:
Spend time with you. Our goal is to help answer your questions as well as to inquire about your medications and conditions. We might ask to talk with you in the counseling room so we can have a more in-depth confidential conversation about your medications/health and so that we can take physical measurements like blood pressure.
Offer comprehensive med reviews. One of our pharmacists will meet with you one-on-one to review all your medications, including any prescriptions, over-the-counter medicine, and supplements. We want to make sure you are taking medications correctly, avoiding harmful interactions and identify possible money-saving generic alternatives.
Monitor progress towards health goals. The purpose of medications is to improve your health. Our pharmacists will assess how well your medications are working to make sure you are on track to achieve your health goals.
Screen, educate, administer vaccinations. Your pharmacist will make sure that you are aware of indicated vaccines and why they are important to your health.
Inquire about your medications/conditions. Your pharmacist might ask you questions such as: Are you having problems remembering to take your meds? Are you on any new medications or over-the-counter items? Are you having any side effects? Are you having trouble affording your medications? Do you know why the doctor prescribed this medication for your condition?
Assess physical measurements. Periodically your pharmacist
may check your blood pressure, look at your blood sugar logs
or other lab values to make sure you are on track.
At Medicap Pharmacy, we'll always make time for you!
